Description:
We are seeking a Safety Engineer with strong technical background to work in our client’s office during the engineering activities for large offshore constructions, like FPSO’s, MopuStor, or drilling units. Duties: · Maintain awareness of the design and design processes; · Initiate and participate in the Criticality Assessment review meetings; · Participate in Design Review Meetings of critical components and systems; · Initiation and development of Safety Management Systems; · Project specific hazard management; · Contacts with safety consultants, assistance at technical reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, API 14J Compliance, IEC 61508/61511, etc. · Assistance with setting the design safety priorities in all design phases of a project. · Regulations and code compliance. · Assistance with safety plans and design safety case. Rate: Up to €55 per hour depending on qualification and experience Requirement: Candidates should be educated to Degree levelSuccessful Safety Engineer must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the Shipbuilding / Offshore industries. Other experience such as marine systems, process or other relevant technical background is also preferred. Duration: 12-15 months contract with the possibility of a staff position. Location: Holland (near Rotterdam) – may require travelling abroad on a regular basis. Work permit: You must be eligible to work within the EU to be considered for this position. |
